Oaks Christian Online Summer Courses

Join Oaks Christian Online for Summer School Online Courses!

As the semester winds down, consider taking an online summer course with OC Online!  Summer school courses allow students to complete a semester long course in just nine weeks (June 7-August 6).  Teachers hold weekly live sessions and office hours for additional meetings; they also provide regular and frequent feedback on assignments and coursework.

Here are some great ways to utilize summer courses in your middle and high school planning:

Get Ahead: Summer school courses can offer a way to achieve more aspirational scholastic goals.  These might include finishing high school early, preparing to have a light senior year, or just creating schedule space for taking dual enrollment college courses, AP classes, or more electives during the fall and spring.   That said, please remember that students may complete one single semester course of almost any online course during summer term.  Completing a year-long course over the summer is not possible.

Take an Elective: With nearly 30 electives to choose from, summer can be a great time to enjoy a subject of unique interest for students.  Classes like “Creative Writing”, “Fashion and Interior Design”, “Models of Christian Service in Film”, “Forensic Science” or “Middle School Photography” are just a few of the many choices.

Come Together: Even if you are not an Oaks Christian student, you may still take our summer school courses.  This is a great opportunity to try online learning with an experienced online program, or to supplement and take a course your campus or program does not offer.

Remediate: If a student would like to improve a grade from a class they took in the past, or deepen their learning on a particular topic, taking a summer class might be a way to do that.  Or, if a student is looking to “level up”, sometimes summer courses can help recoup learning or advance learning in order to better prepare a student for the fall.  For example, an eighth-grade student may decide to take an English or Math class in preparation for a more rigorous course load in high school.

Courses are $800 and all other information can be found here on our website.
