Isabelle Leon
Class Of:
Thousand Oaks
Jump rope, Watercolors, Pilates, Fashion, Guitar and Piano
Where you are now and what you are doing?:
I am soon to start my sophomore year at Seattle Pacific University (in Seattle, Washington), majoring in Music Therapy with an emphasis in Psychology. I also hope to receive a Pilates teaching certification, and learn the Korean language to do my music therapy internship in South Korea.
How did you grow and what did you learn from being an oco student?:
I learned from being an OCO student how to self-manage, schedule, and prioritize my life with my education. OCO gave me self-discipline that I have carried all the way to college. If I had not gone to OCO, I don’t know if I would have made it out of my severe Freshman year at university. The faculty at OCO made me feel so loved, even when I was honestly a handful. I genuinely miss interacting with them; I feel like I am one of the few of my friends that miss my high school and the staff. They have left an unmovable warm spot in my heart that will encourage me in my life forever. I also grew massively in my relationship with God at OCO. I learned how to understand God through myself, and not just through what others tell me.
