AP Classes Online

Advanced Placement courses are year-long, college level courses that may require additional text books, time, fees and the need to take the AP level exam in the Spring. If the qualifying score is received on the exam from an AP class online, a participating college may award credit or waive an equivalent course requirement. Students can take the exam at the Oaks Christian School facility, or they can work with an Oaks Christian School counselor to determine an alternate testing location. A testing location should be secured as early as possible in the school year. Students taking AP classes online must attempt the AP test in order to receive an additional grade point, but each school determines AP credit individually. Check back frequently if you would like to take AP classes online; new AP and Dual Credit courses are added regularly.

Dual Credit Courses

Dual Credit Courses are year-long, college level classes taught directly by an affiliated, accredited college. There is no AP exam, and students should check with the college they plan to attend about transfer requirements BEFORE enrolling in a dual credit course. Online high school courses are normally open to Juniors and Seniors. Check with the OCO College Counselor or Admissions Counselor before enrolling. We have given priority to institutions that offer truly christian distance learning and current participating colleges are listed below:
