This month's newsletter includes an article about the latest research regarding adolescent faith maturation during the teenage years, back-to-back sessions to help students explore the connections between faith and fitness, and upcoming college counseling events.
Adolescent Spiritual Development Session (Parents too!)
On March 13 (Tuesday) at 6pm PST all parents (and faculty and staff too) are invited to a session presenting the latest research regarding adolescent faith maturation during the teenage years. Take some time to think about how we as adults can come alongside youth in small ways to support a life-long relationship with Christ. To join us, click this link at 5:55pm PST on Tuesday March 13: enter your name, select the Spiritual Life Room, and enter "student" as the password.
Back to Back Health Sessions
Be thinking of our students in March as they explore the connections between faith and fitness. We'll be having two guest speakers in the Spiritual Life chapel that will help us dial into the ways in which God can work through our bodies and our health. One of them went to seminary and felt God calling him to start a faith-based Crossfit gym and the other founded the PrayFit concept (see below) that interweaves devotionals, prayer, and exercise.
Save the Date (Saturday April 14)
There will be a local community service opportunity for us to join the folks at PrayFit and Calvary Community Church in Westlake and run a 5k where 100% of the proceeds will support families in the midst of disability. To explore this event and register, click here: https://www.prayfit.org/ . More details to come.
